What the world can learn from the Buddhist concept loving-kindness

(The Conversation) — As the world deals with the trauma caused by COVID-19, World Kindness Day , observed on Nov. 13 annually, is a good opportunity to reflect on the healing potential of both large and small acts of kindness. Indeed, it was the kind acts of essential workers that helped save many lives . As a scholar of Buddhist studies, I have researched the ways in which Buddhist monks talk about kindness and compassion toward all beings.
